Creative Communities Fund (CCF) - round 2

Applications are once again being accepted for the Perth and Kinross Creative Communities Fund (CCF), following the great success of the first round of funding awards earlier this year.

The Creative Communities Fund was launched to support communities and individuals with creative and cultural projects, as part of our bid to become UK City of Culture 2021. While the bid was not successful, we want to continue to support celebrations of local cultural identity by extending the Creative Communities Fund until March 2018. A further £30,000 will be available.

The fund will consider applications of up to £1,500 per project. Applications are welcomed that deliver creative, inclusive activities, events and projects that:

  1. showcase the amazing talent of people across Perth and Kinross;
  2. show that culture is for everyone;
  3. get people involved in cultural activities they may not have tried before.

We are particularly interested in applications that:

  1. bring communities and generations together to celebrate and connect with their local culture;
  2. celebrate the diversity of our communities;
  3. use digital technology in an innovative or creative way.

Your project could be a one-off, a series of regular events, a special exhibition, performance or something else that reflects your community.

Who can apply?

We welcome applications from community groups, charities, networks, partnerships, parent teacher associations, residents associations, arts organisations, geographical communities and other communities of interest.

Timescales

There is no deadline for applications. However, the programme will close when all funds have been allocated, or on 9 March 2018. Successful projects must be completed by 31 March 2018.

Criteria

Your application must demonstrate the impact your project has in contributing to at least one of the following:

  1. showcasing the amazing talent of people across Perth and Kinross;
  2. shows that culture is for everyone;
  3. gets people involved in cultural activities they may not have tried before.

We are particularly interested in applications that:

  1. bring communities and generations together to celebrate and connect with their local culture;
  2. celebrate the diversity of our communities;
  3. use digital technology in an innovative or creative way.

Projects must state how they are inclusive in their approach, should be accessible to all, and free for everyone to enjoy.
We will fund both new and existing activities, but priority will be given to those projects that can demonstrate they would not go ahead without this funding.
We will consider contributing up to £1,500 towards larger projects, provided funding is requested for a specific element and is clearly stated in the application.

Projects must take place within the Perth and Kinross boundary, and where possible, use local suppliers, eg local performers, musicians or artists.

All parts of the application form must be completed, including estimates of numbers of people engaged and volunteer hours contributed.
