Funding for South Uist Youth Development Worker

Last year South Uist Youth Development Group was awarded £49,120 by the Big Lottery fund’s Young Start programme to appoint a new youth worker.

The new recruit will co-ordinate and deliver youth activities from Berneray to Eriskay, with emphasis on an inter-generational media project.

The project will allow 10 young people to produce short films about the attitude of different generations to life.
