ScotRail Foundation Funding

The ScotRail Foundation are looking to support and develop a wide range of projects which bring communities together specifically:

•Support for children and young people
•Improvement of the local environment
•Improvements to local communities’ general health and wellbeing.

ScotRail has two categories of award:

•£250 – £1,000
•£1,001 – £5,000

Example of the types of projects that could be funded:

•Anti-graffiti projects in communities which might keep young people away from railways or prevent them vandalising the station.
•Community fetes and open days which bring a range of local people together to celebrate or address a theme including, as an example, community tidy up or anti-littering day.
•Alternative therapies / health days to help improve the local community’s engagement and increase understanding of health related issues.
•Community arts projects and diversionary activities for children and young people
•Sports interest groups and sport events
