TCV Scotland’s Get Some Credit programme

TCV Scotland’s Get Some Credit programme is looking for young people aged 16-24 to volunteer in a part time (2 days a week) environmental employability programme, running over a 6 month period. Placements are available at our Inverness and Aberdeen offices. Travel expenses are reimbursed and there is access to a generous training budget.

The next enrolment period is November 2014.

The aim of Get Some Credit is to inspire and enable young people to reach their potential within their community, overcoming barriers and access to employment, social enterprise or self employment, whilst increasing confidence, self-esteem and life chances. TCV Scotland will support young people to get to a stage where they are able to compete for work within the environmental, landscaping and forestry industries.

Training is diverse and may include NPTC Chainsaw, Lantra Brushcutters and Strimmers, TCV Scotland’s Employability in the Outdoors Award SCQF Level 4 and plenty of opportunities to consolidate learning whilst working as part of a TCV conservation team on various outdoor spaces in the local area.
