Two UK rural communities join WHO global quest for age-friendly living

The communities of Fishguard and Goodwick have joined Shanghai, Washington DC and three European cities (Bilbao, Udine, and Dijon) in a World Health Organisation (WHO) quest to find out what helps to make a place “age friendly”.

The WHO is seeking to turn towns around the world into places where people of all ages – and especially people aged over 60 – feel that their skills, experience, ideas, opinions and values are treated with equal weight and sensitivity.
