East and Midlothian Network Meeting

Wednesday 26th June 2024, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Volunteer Centre, 4-6 White Hart Lane, Dalkeith. Midlothian EH22 2NA

You are invited to join our network meeting for East and Midlothian as our first face-to-face meeting in The Volunteer Centre, Midlothian.

We believe that intergenerational practice is essential, and not just "nice" to do, so we aim to share learning and opportunities as well as offer networking opportunities as we connect across our community with an intergenerational lens.

We look forward to hearing from practitioners and people involved with intergenerational projects in their community, sharing news and opportunities which may be of interest. With Global Intergenerational Week still bringing a warm glow, we also are excited to celebrate June as The Month of Community, with a focus on the diversity of intergenerational practice bringing benefits to all ages as well as the wider community.

Our meeting is open to all. You are welcome to join us as interested individual and/or representative of a group or organisation whether you are already involved in, or curious about, intergenerational approaches.

The spaces are limited to 20, so please book your space for an enjoyable and interactive 2 hour session exploring:

  • community connections
  • how we can tackle ageism together and
  • how we can develop intergenerational work, taking a human rights approach.

*Parking Tip - park at Morrisons and walk back to White Hart Lane, close to Dalkeith Library.*
