East and Midlothian Network Meeting

Wednesday 12th October 2022, 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Queen Margaret University

Exploring Possibilities through intergenerational working.

Our Network Meeting will include hearing about space being made available to communities at QMU. There is a really strong interest in intergenerational opportunities being developed here and this will be a really wonderful opportunity for first face-to-face meeting of the East and Midlothian network in over 2 years.

Also sharing insights and inspiration will be Clare MacGillivray and Lynn Fraser of Fa’side Women and Girls Group. FWGG is an intergenerational group focusing on issues close to the hearts and minds of those in the area keen to collaborate, contribute, connect and make an impact together. “Bringing global local” and always nurturing fun, friendships and fantastic opportunities. Clare has a wealth of experience of working in and with communities, a big heart and a ferocious appetite for ‘shenanigans with good outcomes’, as Director of Making Rights Real. Lynn is an artist and community activist through connecting with people, sharing love and being a natural ‘gel’ in the community. Lynn uses her artistic talents to focus on health and wellbeing and often helping to break down stigma and ‘isms’. As Fantoosh Art many communities in East Lothian have benefited to her nurturing and creative ways of connecting within and across generations, empowering and uplifting those she meets.
