Fighting for the climate through intergenerational solidarity - A COP26 event
Friday 5th November 2021, 10:00am - 12:00pm
On Zoom (Sign in details will be sent before the event)
Join us during COP26 to talk about how we can join to fight climate change. We will discuss why it’s vital that generations join together in this fight, how to work with the governments and at a grassroots level and we will also share what we learned from hosting intergenerational climate conversations. The event will be opened by Richard Lochhead MSP who is the Minister for Just Transition, Employment, and Fair Work. The minister will talk about the Scottish Government’s plans in this area and how you can get involved. We will also be joined by Miriam Adcock, the Project Manager for Consumer Waste Prevention at Zero Waste Scotland. Miriam will talk about zero waste initiatives and about working during COP26. This event is free and open to everyone. Please note that places are limited.
