Building an Intergenerational Nation

GWT is delighted to announce this year’s exciting conference programme which invites speakers from across the globe to join our conversation to expand knowledge around the field of intergenerational practice. Due to the continued uncertainty of the pandemic our board of trustees decided to offer another online version of our annual international conference which will take place from Monday 7th to Thursday 10th March 2022.

The week will include three afternoon sessions and an evening conversation to celebrate International Women’s Day. Here is a glimpse of how the week looks you will be able to download further information below which will give more details on the speaker topics and of course our webinars.

Day 1 – Enabling Inclusive Communities

Time: 1.45pm – 4pm

Day 2 – Celebrating International Women’s Day

Time: 7.00pm – 8.15pm

Day 3 – Research and Practice

Time: 2.00pm – 4.00pm

Day 4 – Spaces and Places

Time: 2.00pm – 4.00pm

Each afternoon session will involve a plenary speaker, an Excellence Award presentation/s then the opportunity to take part in one of three virtual webinars. GWT’s Excellence Awards for 2022 are still open for nominations (deadline 31st January 2022). For category details and how to nominate your project click here. The awards provide an opportunity for individuals and groups to celebrate their learning and success in building relationships between younger and older generations. Check out the short films created with our winners from 2021 who proudly share their work with us.

GWT plan to offer CPD accreditation hours for the full week’s attendance at the conference and has applied to the CPD Standards Office. Further information will be made available shortly.
