International Intergenerational Symposium (invitation only)

Thursday 5th March 2020, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Glasgow City Halls, 87-101 Albion St, Glasgow G1 1NQ

This symposium is an invitation only event for international colleagues living outside Scotland to identify ways we can together, build collaborative partnerships between different countries, in relation to intergenerational work and research. However it would be great to have a few intergenerational experts in the room from Scotland to share the great work we are delivering across the country.

Our colleagues from Linking Generations Northern Ireland are currently undertaking research on how participating in intergenerational activities can help improve skills and educational outcomes for young people.

Amongst other topics on the programme we will be discussing:
• Evidence of the benefits of intergenerational activities, particularly for young people aged 16yrs+;
• Experiences of successfully engaging schools in IP by linking with the school curriculum/subjects, community engagement, or school development plans/strategies; and
• The best ways to gather evidence and evaluate this work.

If you have experience and knowledge and would like to join us please get in touch with Alison Clyde, Chief Executive Officer stating the reason you’d like to take part.
