Scottish Borders & Tayside Intergenerational Food Network
Wednesday 24th February 2021, 9:30am - 11:30am
Across Scotland there is a focus on more connected communities, and keeping connected in the time of the pandemic COVID 19. Generations Working Together and The Soil Associations, Sharing Food for Life programme are working collaboratively to bring generations together around sharing, cooking and growing food. This network meeting will take place virtually in a conversation exploring what the network feels they can do around sharing food . It will look at how to make more of the places already connected, keep intergenerational connections alive and bring communities together through food. We will explore how intergenerational relationships and sharing stories and recipes can support older and younger people to keep relationships alive, form new relationships and live well.
Joan Wilson from Trellis will offer a short presentation on some ideas and work around growing whether that’s on a window box or table or in a bag.
The purpose of this event is to bring the network together to share knowledge, network and learning on the topic of Intergenerational Relationships and community relationships with food and how we are connected
