During the campaign The Macrosad Chair in Intergenerational Studies at the University of Granada will be sharing and disseminating information about intergenerational projects that are being developed in Spain, past experiences or programs that are currently under development. If you want us to spread the word about your intergenerational initiative, contact us here.
Throughout the week there will be intergenerational activities between children and the elderly of the Macrosad Intergenerational Reference Center (CINTER): on Tuesday 26 we will be visited by a group of students from the Master in Gerontology of the University of Granada who will learn first-hand how to fit the intergenerational approach in a center of these features; on Thursday 28 we will participate in an event in which we will review its intergenerational history, the lessons learned and the experiences told in first person by their protagonists; on Friday 29 we will hold an outdoor intergenerational sports activity and we will also be accompanied by other elderly people from a nearby day care center.

The Spanish campaign during the Global Intergenerational Week will be organized and led by the Macrosad Chair in Intergenerational Studies at the University of Granada.
This Chair is a platform for the permanent transfer of knowledge between Intergenerational Studies, as an academic field, and intergenerational practices. To this end, the Chair carries out research, training, dissemination and any other initiative that makes it possible to develop intergenerational interactions and relationships in the Andalusian region and Spain. Moreover, we provide support on daily basis to the Macrosad Intergenerational Reference Centre, a shared-site integrating an adult day care facility and a nursery.
Throughout this week, we will update our website pages and social media sites so you can be informed of everything that happens, follow us and share all the information that you find interesting: catedras.ugr.es/macrosad/ In addition to sharing and supporting the events developed by the organization of the Global Intergenerational Week, our Chair will organize an online event to commemorate the European Day on Solidarity and Cooperation between Generations.
We will keep you posted, stay tuned! If you want to hold any event in Spain during the Global Intergenerational Week, or just want to keep up to date on what is being done, please do get in touch with us.
