History

After leading a successful campaign in 2020 (23-29th March) and as a result of the pandemic St Monica Trust handed leadership of the national week to Generations Working Together (GWT).

In partnership with Linking Generations Northern Ireland, Bridging the Generations (Wales), and The Cares Family (England), GWT led the second campaign which took place from 8-14 March 2021.

Over 120,00 people joined us in 2021 through the hashtag on #IntergenerationalWeek to say no to the age gap.

Watch the video below to see what we achieved during the second National Intergenerational Week 2021.

In 2022 the campaign goes global, with the Executive Team signing up 11 country leads who have agreed to take a leadership role in raising awareness of the campaign and  promoting intergenerational work in their home country. Although we are no longer taking on new countries for 2022 we shall later in the year reopen and invite other countries to join the 2023 campaign. If you would like to lead the campaign in 2023 for your country please get in touch with Alison Clyde.

You can however still take part and support the 2022 campaign by becoming a supporter. For more details click here.
