History

After leading a successful campaign in 2020 (23-29th March) and as a result of the pandemic St Monica Trust handed leadership of the national week to Generations Working Together (GWT).

In partnership with Linking Generations Northern Ireland, Bridging the Generations (Wales), and The Cares Family (England), GWT led the second and third campaign which took place March 2021 and April 2022.

Over 120,00 people joined us in 2021 through the hashtag on #IntergenerationalWeek to say no to the age gap.

Watch the video below to see what we achieved during the second National Intergenerational Week 2021 and you can now see the highlights of 2022 here.

In 2022 the campaign went global, with the Executive Team signing up 11 country leads who agreed to take a leadership role in raising awareness of the campaign and  promoting intergenerational work in their home country. Now the 2022 campaign is over we shall open up later in the Autumn for new country leads for 2023. If you would like to lead the campaign in 2023 for your country please get in touch with Alison Clyde.
