Welcome to the Argyll & Bute & West Dunbartonshire Network
The next in-person meeting of the Argyll and Bute and West Dunbartonshire Intergenerational Network will take place in autumn 2026, date and location to be confirmed.
Network meetings are hosted across various locations in Argyll and Bute and West Dunbartonshire as the area is widespread geographically, the location varies each time to reach communities. We welcome the inexperienced and new to intergenerational practice and those who are more experienced too. Our networks are a time to connect, share and inspire and be inspired by other likeminded people in your local community.
May 2026 Meeting
Our recent Argyll and Bute and West Dunbartonshire network met on Tuesday 19th May 2026 in Helensburgh. It was great to hear about the intergenerational projects happening across the area, creating meaningful connections between younger and older generations. Special thanks to Hermitage Primary School and Argyle Care Home for sharing their current project, and to Crosslet House and Northwood House for giving us an insight into their own intergenerational initiatives. We are looking to recruit a volunteer intergenerational community connector for GWT in the Argyll and Bute and West Dunbartonshire network. If you would like to get more involved in intergenerational working, learn more about the practice and help grow intergenerational relationships in your local area this is the role for you.
