Network meetings are hosted across various locations in Ayrshire as the area is widespread geographically, the location varies each time to reach communities. We welcome the inexperienced and new to intergenerational practice and those who are more experienced too. It is a time to connect, share and inspire and be inspired by other likeminded people in your local community.
March 2026 Meeting
Our most recent Ayrshire network meeting took place on Tuesday 17th March 2026. It was wonderful to connect with everyone who joined us and shared their current and future intergenerational projects. We heard about a broad range of inspiring initiatives taking place across Ayrshire, from older people’s social clubs in sheltered housing to a volunteer group restoring a local historic cinema, and a nursery championing community connection as ‘Beehive Buddies’. We are looking to recruit a volunteer intergenerational community connector for GWT in the Ayrshire network. If you would like to get more involved in intergenerational working, learn more about the practice and help grow intergenerational relationships in your local area this is the role for you.
