Welcome to the Lanarkshire Network

Our network meetings are hosted across various locations in Lanarkshire as the area is widespread geographically, the location varies each time to reach communities. We welcome the inexperienced and new to intergenerational practice and those who are more experienced too. It is a time to connect, share and inspire and be inspired by other likeminded people in your local community.

September 2025 Meeting
We had a productive network meeting at Larkhall and District Volunteer Group Centre on Tuesday 2nd September. It was great to meet everyone and hear about the wide range of intergenerational projects throughout Lanarkshire. These partnerships ranged from early years and care homes, to youth volunteers and older adults in the community, to high school pupils and senior citizen groups. New connections were made with potential ‘ live learning’ visits between establishments. To find out more about the meeting read the notes at the bottom of the page.
We are keen to share the wide range of intergenerational projects running throughout Lanarkshire. If you would welcome a visit, we would love to come along and join in one of your sessions. Please contact Corrina to discuss this further.

We are looking to recruit a volunteer intergenerational community connector for GWT in the Lanarkshire network. If you would like to get more involved in intergenerational working, learn more about the practice and help grow intergenerational relationships in your local area this is the role for you. To find out more click here.

GWT are able to deliver training in the area, if this is of an interest contact Corrina or telephone 07897572118 for further information.
