A new intergenerational dance show

Dance show at Perth Theatre will have no “barre” on age

Keen dancers young and old are being encouraged to take part in a new intergenerational dance show.

Scottish Ballet will be stopping off at Perth Theatre this weekend, and the dance company is looking for young dancers between the ages of 14 and 21 and keen older dancers over the age of 60 to come along and take part.

The national dance company, along with YDance (Scottish Youth Dance) and Reflections Dance Company will be running the rehearsals on Sunday, April 29 at Perth Theatre as part of the Generation Dance Festival at Tramway in Glasgow this August.

Those taking part will be able to work with professional dancers to create and choreograph a performance piece called Letters to my Shadow, that will eventually be staged at the Glasgow event later this summer.
