Build and enhance your intergenerational connections

Generations Working Together are hosting a webinar and workshop series which will introduce participants to a range of free, creative resources that can be used in both online and face-to-face intergenerational connections.

The Webinar on 18th Feb will provide an overview of the different resources which have been designed to be conversation starters and relationship builders. An example of one of these resources is the KeyCard interactive activity, where people press a button onscreen to have a question selected at random. Questions include ‘what did you dream about recently?’ or ‘what wee silly things makes you happy?’. Other resources include prompts to help people get to know each other on first meeting, short stories from the life of a care home resident and a You Tube channel with a variety of videos of interest to all ages. The Webinar will take people through how to access the resources at www.myhomelife.uws.ac.uk/scotland/kinections-resources, and provide examples of how these resources could be used.

Following on from the Webinar will be a number of Trying and Testing workshops. These workshops will offer an opportunity for people to try out and test out the resources for themselves, and to explore and ask questions about how they might use some of these resources in their own setting.
