Exciting News!

Scottish Learning Festival
To support the development of intergenerational learning across Scotland, Generations Working Together have been working in partnership with AgeScotland, Balhousie Primary School & Perth & Kinross HSCP with funding from the Gannochy Trust, to develop an intergenerational pathway for children and young people within education.

We are excited to announce that we have been invited to deliver a seminar at the Scottish Learning Festival (SLF) in which we will be sharing the first of our intergenerational online classroom modules that will be used by teachers to prepare children for intergenerational learning opportunities within primary education. Primary school teachers in Scotland will be able to access a teachers guide to intergenerational learning and an accompanying interactive classroom module which will run as a six-week programme, preparing children for an intergenerational project with a residential care home.

The Scottish Learning Festival, placing learners at the heart of Scottish Education, takes place over two days on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd of September 2022 and will offer online key notes speakers and around 70 seminars over two days as part of the conference programme with several small physical ‘satellite events’ across Scotland.

We are delighted that the importance of developing intergenerational learning opportunities within education has been recognised and we will confirm the date/time of the GWT seminar as soon as it is released.
