GWT Vacancies - PT Finance Officer & PT Funding and Development Officer
As two of our team members are retiring in the Spring, GWT is now actively recruiting two part time officers to fulfil the roles of Finance Officer and Funding and Development Officer.
Post: P/T Finance Officer
FT Salary: £28,274 - £28,804 (pro rata – scale dependant on experience)
Hours: P/T – 14 hrs per week (permanent)
Location: Brunswick House, 51 Wilson Street, Glasgow, G1 1UZ
Interview date: either, 23rd April (pm) or 27th April (am) TBC
Overview of Post
The Finance Officer plays a central role in ensuring the smooth and efficient financial management of Generations Working Together. This post is responsible for the day-to-day administration of our financial systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, and supporting the production of reliable management accounts.
Working closely with the CEO, Treasurer, and wider staff team, the Finance Officer ensures that our financial processes are robust, transparent, and aligned with regulatory requirements. The role also supports colleagues with budgeting for funding applications and financial reporting, helping to ensure strong financial stewardship across the organisation.
Responsible for:
- Administering and reporting on the finances of GWT
- Providing support to staff on developing budgets for funding applications
Responsibilities: Administer the finances of GWT in accordance with standard accounting procedures, key internal controls, and as required by the Board and by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).

FT Salary: £33,366 - £34,314 (pro rata – scale dependant on experience)
Hours: P/T – 17.5 hrs per week (permanent)
Location: Brunswick House, 51 Wilson Street, Glasgow, G1 1UZ (some home working may be considered)
Interview dates: either 5/6/7th May 2026
Overview of Post
This role will play a key part in generating sustainable income for Generations Working Together. The postholder will identify and pursue funding opportunities across grants, trusts, foundations, and corporate partners, producing high‑quality applications that support the charity’s services and strategic priorities. They will build and maintain strong relationships with funders and sponsors, contribute to organisational development, and support colleagues with project reporting and funding requirements. By combining research, bid development, sponsorship generation, and partnership building, the role will help strengthen GWT’s financial resilience and support the growth of intergenerational work across Scotland.
Responsible for:
- Researching, designing, writing and submitting high-quality funding applications to support our services and core costs.
- Developing attractive sponsorship and donation asks and securing income from corporate bodies.
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing funders and forging links with potential funders.
- Contributing to the implementation and delivery of the organisation’s projects and activities, within the context of GWT’s Corporate Plan.
