Free SCQF Credit Rated Course in Digital Inclusion

Glasgow Kelvin College, in partnership with SCVO are delighted to announce the release of this SCQF credit rated course, designed to support local people get online and take measures to address the digital skills gap in Scotland. This course has been co-designed by representatives and members of SCVO, working with staff from Glasgow Kelvin College. The course is delivered online and is FREE! There are no entry requirements, other than having a strong interest in digital inclusion.

Certificate in Digital Inclusion Support – SCQF Level 4

This is an introduction course for anyone interested in learning more about digital inclusion – perfect for Digital Champions. This course will help learners understand what we mean by digital inclusion, how it affects people who do not have digital skills, and what steps can be taken to support those considered digitally excluded. The course provides a theory-based approach, explaining the reasons why people engage with digital technology, and more importantly, why others do not. By developing an understanding, the participants will learn strategies designed to support and encourage people to engage in learning new digital skills. Study time: approximately 10 hours.

Starts October 2020 until June 2021. You can sign up at any time during those months.
