Are you a good food champion? My Food Community is a free Get Togethers programme. Perhaps you work for a food-based project in your community, or are campaigning to improve the experience of food for people in your area. We’d like to see applications from anyone that is passionate about making a change.

It is designed to inspire and support members to:

1. Build knowledge: learn together and individually, with access to resources
2. Connect with others who champion good food: in your community and across the UK

A huge thank you

Thank you to every one of you who got together to sow, grow and share this Plant and Share month. Together you have enabled a staggering 20,000 people to attend one of over 500 events across the month, and the stories from across the country are so fabulous to hear.

From planting a tea garden in Barnett to growing veggies in Lozells in Birmingham, there has been a huge buzz around Plant and Share this year and that is thanks to you.

The participation numbers have more than doubled from 2021 – Plant and Share was used as the perfect way to reopen community spaces and get back together after lockdown.

The free resources have already been downloaded nearly 25,000 times and are still available on the website for you to use

Don’t forget that it is Cook and Share in October While we are sure you will all be keeping in touch over the summer to nurture the plants you have sown, and the friendships made, Cook and Share provides the perfect opportunity to come back together and reap the rewards of all your hard work!

June is the Month of Community

For those of you who took part in a Big Jubilee Lunch last weekend, we hope it went well, whatever the weather. With over 18 million people taking part, it was a great success!

There is still time to hold a Big Lunch, or any other community activity as part of Eden Project Community’s Month of Community.
