Post: Network Development Officer (Freelance) North East of Scotland

Hours: 16 hours
Hourly rate: £13.75
Location: Work from home – Aberdeen area
Duration: one year from start date (may be extended if further funding secured)

Overview:
The Network Development Officer is responsible for organising and delivering intergenerational training, developing and maintaining six local networks and supporting people, groups and organisations across the North East of Scotland to raise their knowledge and confidence levels around how to connect generations through intergenerational work.

The post will be responsible for:

• Raising awareness and the profile of intergenerational work and of GWT across the North East of Scotland.
• Planning, coordinating and supporting 6 networks including the Highlands, Moray & Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen, Angus & Dundee, Orkney and Shetland.
• Organising and delivering intergenerational training in specified network areas.
• Encouraging local authorities, groups & organisations to embed intergenerational practice within local policy.

We are looking for someone who lives in the Aberdeen area and has there own means of transport as this post will involve traveling to rural areas. Essential skills and experience is sought around networking, delivering training, recruitment and support of volunteers. The successful person will be have excellent communication skills and a good working knowledge of IT, websites and social media.
