Sow, Grow and Share

Spring is on the horizon. Have you started thinking about your next community / intergenerational growing activity. For those of you who are starting to plan your Spring activities, we’ve got some exciting new Plant and Share resources coming your way from Food for Life Get Together’s.

The soil association want to share their monthly updates with you so that you can get ready for spring and sow, grow and share. You can grow community confidence, connections and some pretty tasty veg in the process
Many of you will have applied for Small Grants and signed up for Plant and Share Month in the process – details on when you’ll hear more below.

Small Grants Update

• You will receive an email letting you know whether you were successful or not by Friday 18th March
• These emails sometimes end up in spam/junk so please check there too
• If you don’t hear from us by the end of next week get in touch

How can we build community food resilience and empower communities

Food Ethics Council are holding an online event on 16th March to explore this very question

• Hear from organisations leading the way in using food as a way to connect people.
• Join in as we explore what is needed to make things better – now and in the future.
• Food Ethics Council will share the findings from their own research into the best approaches to build community food resilience
• Our very own Dale Cranshaw and Chandra Pankhania will discuss our recent Understanding Participation in Community Food Activities report.
