We're hiring two new positions

Generations Working Together is delighted to announce that we have been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK, for an exciting new partnership project launching in early 2023. Over the next 2.5 years, the Creating Intergenerational Communities project will see Generations Working Together partnering with Apples and Honey Nightingale in London and Linking Generations Northern Ireland to develop a model for embedding intergenerational approaches within our communities.

The project will involve new staff members for each of the partners in Scotland, Northern Ireland and England.

In Scotland we are now opening the recruitment for the following two posts:

Title: Communication and Digital Marketing Officer
Hours: P/T – 26 hours per week
Salary: £25,000 (pro rata)
Contract: Fixed Term 2.5 years (with potential for extending should further funding be secured)

Overview of Post
This role will focus on promoting the work of the new project by shaping its communications and marketing strategy, building new connections, and growing its digital presence. Based with GWT, you will work collaboratively with the wider project team, and especially the Intergenerational Development Officers, in Scotland, England, and Northern Ireland. The successful applicant will have a crucial role in shaping and supporting the delivery of this new, high-profile project supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Title: Intergenerational Development Officer
Hours: F/T 35 hours per week (would consider job share of 2 P/T Officers)
Salary: £26,400
Contract: Fixed Term 2.5 years (with potential for extending should further funding be secured)

Overview of Post
This role will focus on building partnerships, delivering intergenerational training, creating, and piloting a set of new quality standards, and supporting the recognition of new Intergenerational hubs across three areas of Scotland (areas being considered include Shetland/Orkney, Ayrshire, and Lothians however this could change).
