Celebrating volunteering

At Generations Working Together we recognise the invaluable support that our volunteers provide, including our trustees, school volunteers, and local intergenerational coordinators. Every day they help us bring communities together, connect younger and older people, and go above and beyond. This is why it’s important to recognise them and their efforts on the national volunteer’s week, which runs between 1st to 7th of June. This week we will be sharing projects that wouldn’t be able to function without all the support from volunteers, as well as recognising our own.

Please celebrate the week with us and share with us any volunteers that deserve to be celebrated on our social media. You can connect with us on facebook and twitter and use the hashtag #volunteersweek. We would particularly like to celebrate and spread the importance of intergenerational practice and volunteers through the week so if you run an intergenerational project with volunteers we would love to share your work.

To find resources and events for the volunteers week please see the official website.
