GWT - Punching above its Weight

Generations Working Together is delighted to share with you our external Evaluation Report which covers our core work from October 2021 to December 2024.

We hope members and pracitioners will be able to use our findings to advance their intergenerational ideas, plans and programmes inspiring others to get involved and to entice funders to fund more activity and programmes.

The report has four main chapters.

Chapter one gives an introduction and executive summary.

Chapter two describes the activities and outputs of GWT over this period.

Feedback: “(I’m now) thinking IG is very important when developing and delivering all provision”. Chapter three draws predominantly on event evaluation forms to analyse the ‘on-the-day’ impact of particular activities such as training, network meetings and roadshows.

Feedback:

Helped change my perception of what good intergenerational work can look like”.

“Strengthened (my understanding), Glad I took the time to attend & refresh my intergenerational aspirations and awareness of support available”.

“Interested to see and hear how others approach IG work and the difference between urban and rural ways of dealing with issues’. “The necessity of working with both groups before bringing them together and to give continuing support”.

“Joy and hope for the future that we can develop more intergenerational projects here”.

Chapter four examines the longer-term impact of members’ engagement with GWT looking at, inter alia, changes in understanding, in attitudes and in practice, whilst the final chapter summarises the challenges arising from the evidence gathered and offers recommendations.
