Introduction to Intergenerational Fairness

Introduces the Framework for Intergenerational Fairness Policy Assessment developed by the School of International Futures (SOIF) and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

The Framework helps assess the impact of public policies on present and future generations and make decisions better informed by the long-term. It can be used by national and local government, business, investors, universities, think-tanks, media and civil society (third sector and charities).

This one-hour introductory class will:
● explore what Intergenerational Fairness is and why it is critical
● introduce strategic foresight approaches to improve long-term decision making
● introduce the Framework for Intergenerational Fairness
● help identify how it can be used in your work
