Corporate Plan 2020-25

The Board of GWT is delighted to publish this Corporate Plan, which sets the strategic direction for our organisation over the next five years. The Plan has been some time in the making however we have delayed its issue for a period, to allow time for us to review the contents within the changed context created by Covid-19.

We are now satisfied that our strategic objectives remain robust, albeit that the pathway through implementation may have to bend in light of changing circumstances.

There is no doubt that Covid-19 has damaged intergenerational work in Scotland, just as it has inflicted harm on every aspect of personal and community life. But we also believe that it has stimulated creativity and collaborations that will help us to evolve Intergenerational practice and deliver better outcomes in the long-term.

We may just be publishing the plan now, however we have already implemented some key actions such as developing a Manifesto for an Intergenerational Scotland, transferring our training programmes online and developing our use of data to support planning and evaluation.

We look forward to working with our members and partners to deliver our vision for an Intergenerational Scotland and will be using our Corporate Plan to help us plot our journey towards that goal.

“In launching this plan may I take this opportunity to thank all those who have had input into its creation. In particular may I especially mention in this regard the dedicated work of Graham Hewitson our Vice Chair and Alison Clyde our CEO. This plan will be the foundation for the work of Generations Working Together over the coming years.” George Kay, Chair.
