Networks

Local and thematic network meetings take place across Scotland and online and are a member only benefit.

The meetings create opportunitites for you to meet with others who are interested and enthused by Intergenerational work. There are 18 local and 4 thematic networks to choose from, designed to create opportunities for individuals, groups and organisations from all sectors to increase knowledge and understanding in the field of intergenerational practice.

Each network will meet between 2-4 times each year providing opportunities to:

  • share expertise and knowledge
  • form new partnerships
  • improve practice
  • access training
  • access resources and toolkits.

The networks bring a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience shared by local people who share their own intergenerational stories and learning. Its also a great place to meet potential partners from organisations you may not normally have the chance to meet.

GWT support and train volunteer connectors for each of the local network areas. If you would like to get involved in your network to help grow the connections and help intergenerational work flourish in your area then please get in touch.

25th January 2024 'Connecting All Our Networks' meeting

It was lovely to start the new year catching up with Network members during this session and have the opportunity to share our plans for 2024. GWT certainly has a lot going on for people to engage in.   If you missed the session, you can access the recording here and here (please note it is in two parts due to the breakout room discussion).  You can also find the slides here.

Please contact Lorraine or Ruairidh if you have any questions.
