Generations Working Together are leading the Global Intergenerational Executive Team in partnership with Linking Generations Northern Ireland, The Beth Johnson Foundation (England), and Bridging the Generations (Wales). Our expert partnership brings together organisations that have been instrumental in the development of intergenerational practice across the UK and who are passionate about its progression as an approach to keep our communities age-connected.

Generations Working Together
Supporting and equipping intergenerational work across Scotland from the Scottish Borders to the Highlands and Islands, Generations Working Together offers one of the most established intergenerational programmes in the UK. Here Communications and Policy Officer Kate Samuels talks about their work.
Bridging the Generations
Bridging the Generations, Gwynedd Council was established in 2018 where the main focus was bridging the generations between Primary school children and care home residents in Gwynedd. Along with Kess II and Bangor University a masters in research student was recruited to look at the implementation of intergenerational work and the challenges and obstacles facing intergenerational projects.

The Beth Johnson Foundation
The Beth Johnson Foundation was established in 1972, and during this time has focussed on a range of projects, evaluations and research explicitly addressing the needs of people over the age of 50 years +. Primarily supporting the local communities of Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire, we have subsequently reached out to UK wide initiatives to establish a national profile around age related themes. We pride ourselves on maintain a key objective of being a catalyst for change, with older people remaining at the very heart of what we do to ensure all of our work remains fit for purpose and evidence based.

Linking Generations Northern Ireland
Linking Generations Northern Ireland (LGNI) has been supporting communities to bring different generations together since 2009. As the only organisation solely focusing on the development and promotion of intergenerational approaches in Northern Ireland, they have picked up many lessons along the way.
